The Board of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has explained that it does not have control over which entity wins what contract in a Restricted and Single Source procurement.
In a release Friday, it explained that the selection of suppliers, contractors and consultants for goods, works and services presented by procurement entities are not in its controls.
Further, the Board assures the public that following the investigations ordered by the President, it will soon become evident to the public that “PPA does not influence tender processes conducted in accordance with Act 663, as amended.”
Their clarification follows the ‘Contracts for sale’ documentary by investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, which cited the CEO of the Authority, Adjenim Boateng Adjei’s company for selling government contracts.
