D-Black has named some Ghanaian rappers he would feature in his list of best emcees.
Although he is not sure which number he (D-Black) would represent, these rappers he believes should come before him.
Sarkodie, Obrafour, Edem, Mensa, EL, Dogo, Lord Kenya, Scooby and Okyeame, Kwame are some rappers D-Black revealed would be in the top ten before him in the list.
In the wake of who is the best emcee in the country, rapper D-Black had not been featured high up in some lists including DJ Black’s, on which he featured at number 50.
Speaking on Drive Time on Joy FM, the rapper said he was not really bothered by the list.
“Have I ever claimed to be the best lyricists before. No, that is not me. Also, the list is for some’s opinion so I’m cool,” he told Lexis Bill, host of the show.
He explained, in a system where core rap was not appreciated much, he had to dilute his ways to come up with people related and liked songs.
From that point, he has released songs like, Vera with Joey B, Seihor with Castro and many others, Ghanaians have grown to love.
