Nova Chiropractic and health Centre, a complete healthcare system focused on restoring, preserving, and optimizing health by natural hands-on care has been opened in Accra over the weekend.
The centre, which specializes in chiropractic care, nutritional advice, therapeutic exercise and stress relief, joins the few chiropractic centres in the country, which uses natural health science to heal spinal disorders.
It is also a system that complements medicine-base diagnosis and manipulative treatment of joints disorders, especially those of the spinal column, which are believed to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs.
Situated in Adenta, a suburb of Accra, Nova Chiropractic Centre provides healthcare to both children and adults. They believe that the best time to receive chiropractic treatment is during the development stage of a child so that they could grow the right way.
In an interview with Myjoyonline.com, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Naa Asheley Ashietey underscored the need for Ghanaians to take their health serious.
According to her, bad eating habit is the primary contributory factor to the declining life expectancy in Ghana.
Dr. Asheley Ashietey encouraged people to eat more fruits and vegetable, exercise daily to ensure a good health lifestyle.
She explained that chiropractic focuses on the integrity of the spine and its surrounding tissues as a means to enhance normal human function and health.
The Nova CEO further noted that “the middle aged need chiropractic care because they have daily stressors at work and at home that can compromise the spine.
"The elderly are prone to fall due to loss of imbalance which comes with aging so chiropractic is essential for them as well as to help with coordination and other problems”.
Dr. Asheley Ashietey said they are committed to educating and empowering people with tools that will help them achieve optimum health and wellness to enable them live life to the fullest.
