Kwame Baah – 7
The shot-stopper was the main reason Ghana only conceded once. He made great saves in the game, especially in the first half.
Gideon Mensah – 4
He was poor defensively but offered an extra attacking threat.
Zackaria Fuseini – 4
He misplaced a pass which almost led to a goal in the opening minutes and lacked composure on the ball till the final whistle was blown.
Nicholas Opoku – 4.5
He reacted late in the build-up to Algeria's goal and found it difficult to blend in well with his centre back partner, Fuseini
Kingsley Fobi – 4.5
He was better defensively but offered little threat in attack throughout the game.
Majeed Ashimeru – 6.5
Majeed showed incredible composure on the ball from start to finish. He was an excellent attacking outlet from the middle of the pitch.
Yaw Yeboah – 4
He made a mess of his penalty in the first half and showed lack of confidence on the ball throughout the game. He, however, won the second penalty for his side which was converted.
Joseph Paintsil – 3.5
He failed to make an impact on the game and was rightly taken off at the beginning of the second half.
Bernard Tekpetey – 4
The forward made some good runs in the first half but his final pass was poor. He was substituted at the beginning of the second half
Dauda Mohammed – 6
The striker worked very hard on and off the ball from start to finish and capped it off with an equalizer from the spot.
Bukari Osman – 4.5
The forward found it difficult to work with his fellow forward but did make some effort at the attacking end.
Isaac Twum – 5
The midfielder brought much-needed energy and control of possession to the side after coming on. It is a surprise that he failed to make the starting XI after that performance.
Joel Fameye – 4.5
Joel combined well with Dauda after coming on and posed some threat with his off ball movement.
William Dankyi – N/A
He came on in the final minutes of the match.
