Some Ghanaian entrepreneurs have developed a Mobile Value Added Service (MVAS) android application for mobile phone users.
El Cuto Consult's ‘Speakers Voice Android Application’, the first of its kind in Ghana, will enable mobile users access content from some of the finest inspirational and motivational speakers in Ghana and beyond with content on leadership, marriage counselling, hygiene from renowned speakers like Uncle Ebo Whyte, Emmanuel Dei Tumi, Eastwood Anaba, the National Chief Imam and many others.
There is also content on the Pentecostal and Catholic faith.
According to the Managing Director of El Cuto Consults, Nana Gyau Amoah, the application is convenient, colorful and easy to use.
He explained that the 1.4MB application also sends users' text messages to a briefcase where they can read at their convenience without spamming the phone's SMS inbox.
In recent times, mobile phone subscribers have been complaining about unsolicited text messages which they have not requested for. Speakers Voice Android Application checks this problem.
It also supports mobile number portability since the subscriber can still use the application even after changing to a different network.
El Cuto Consult is a mobile value added service (MVAS) content provision company based in Accra.
According to Nana Gyau Amoah, the firm is made up of young and dynamic industry experts, providing MVAS contents for subscribers on various networks in Ghana and Uganda.
"With negotiations going on in Liberia and Tanzania the company is seeking to expand its territory of MVAS content and application development to other regions in the Eastern and Western African markets", said Nana Gyau Amoah.
