Voltic Ghana Limited has introduced its new Twist bottle as part of its goal to drive the recycling message and invite consumers to save the environment and the ecosystem.
The new Twist Bottle which has 7% less plastic, gives consumers the ease of twisting the bottle after consumption as Voltic continuously develop sustainable ways to manufacture, distribute and sell its products.
Speaking at the launch, Francois Gazania the Managing Director of Voltic said, “With the growing concern about the spate of plastic pollution the world over culminating in the recent launch of the Ghana National Plastic Action Plan, it has become obvious that the more sustainable way to manage plastic waste is to collaborate with all stakeholders along the value chain.
He believes the fight begins with an action to encourage segregation and recycling of post-consumer plastic right at the source.
Mr Gazania said as a business who has made environmental sustainability part of its quality brand offering, it is committed to recycling, remodelled its bottle into an eco-friendly pack affirming The Coca Cola company’s 2030 commitment towards a World Without Waste.
Raymond Mensah-Gbetivi, the Sales and Marketing Manager of Voltic said, “The new Twist bottle is now our identity at Voltic as we respond to the ever-changing consumer needs and position Voltic as a brand with purpose.”
He added that The Coca-Cola Company and all its bottling partners are leading the industry to help collect and recycle a bottle for every one we sell by 2030.
“We’re working to bring people together to help us collect and recycle a bottle we sell,” he said.
Mr Mensah-Gbetivi said “the Twisty journey is summed in the tagline “Drink, Twist and Recycle” which is a call to consumers to be part of the recycling agenda of the brand”.
Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy was unveiled as the brand ambassador of Voltic will be championing the brand’s agenda of sustainable plastic management.
