A French Navy Ship " BTS Bougainville " is scheduled to dock at Sekondi Harbour from January 07 to January 11.
It is a routine call as part of its regular mission along the west coast of Africa.
A statement issued in Accra by the French Embassy on Friday said the purpose of the visit was to reinforce the existing ties between the French and the Ghanaian naval forces.
"BTS Bougainville" and the Ghana Navy will have common training activities including exercises at sea as well as in harbour and ship visiting.
The ship, commanded by Commander François Mayor, has a staff of eight officers, 45 petty officers, 39 crew members and has the capacity to receive one helicopter on its deck.Source: GNA
