Highlife sensation, Bisa Kdei, has advised fellow musicians to join forces to push Ghanaian music to the world.
He argues that just like their Nigerian counterparts, they can achieve global feats if only they live in solidarity with the sole motive of pushing a positive image of their creative work.
“Everything takes time but it’s all about us coming together as a team. Most of the Nigerians artistes are selling the O2 Arena and we are just here. I think we can also do that if we come together as a team,” he told the host of AM Show on Joy News, Friday.
He further advised musicians to produce songs that their fans can relate to at every point in time.
Speaking on how to survive in the music industry, Bisa Kdei, counselled up and coming artistes to add value to themselves rather than waiting for existing record labels to sign them up.
“If you say you’re just going to sit there and wait for a record label to sign or produce you, you’re not going to get anywhere. It is always important to start somewhere.
“That’s a lot of work but you need to reinvest the money you make from your work into yourself to make more,” he said.
Bisa Kdei has also made an announcement of a highlife festival dubbed “Bisafest” scheduled for December this year.
