The Reverend Dr. Seth Amevor of the Christ Evangelistic Ministries at Legon on Sunday reiterated the need for security personnel in the country, especially soldiers to be circumspect in the discharge of their duties before, during and after this year's general elections.
He said they must behave responsibly and avoid partisan politics that would interfere with their professional work so that they could sustain peace in
the country.
Rev. Amevor said these at a thanksgiving service organized by the 66 Artillery Regiment (Volta Barracks) to climax the celebration of this year's West African Soldiers Social Activity (WASSA) of the Regiment.
Speaking on the theme; "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", Rev. Amevor urged soldiers to remain committed to the cause of the nation and trust in the Lord.
He urged them not to believe in their might but depend on God "who gives life and sustains it".
Rev. Amevor advised them to put their plans before God and seek His blessings in anything they do.
He asked them to maintain the chain of command at the barracks and be united for a common good.
Alhaji Abubakar Yussif, Imam of the Barracks urged soldiers to love one another and do away with petty envy and jealousy.
