Reverend Canon Ebenezer Tetteh Quaynor, a Minister of the Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Accra, has urged Christians to be mindful of whatever they do because they would account for their actions to God after death.
He said, "Each one is therefore the architect of his or her own fortunes or misfortunes hereafter."
Rev. Quaynor said these in a sermon he delivered at the burial and thanksgiving service of the late Benjamin Addofio Quarcoo, a renowned educationist, in Accra.
He said as followers of Christ, Christians should lead exemplary lifestyles.
The late Quarcoo, also the oldest member of the Ghana Scout Association, aged 104, taught the President John Agyekum Kufuor at school.
He was born in 1903, enrolled in Government Boys School in Accra from 1917 to 1924 and the Government Training Institute also in Accra.
The late Quarcoo also attended the Prince of Wales College, now the Achimota School in Accra, and taught at the Obo (Kwahu) Government School in 1929 and rose through the ranks to become a senior education Officer in 1956.
He joined the Ghana Scout's Association in 1918 and rose through the ranks to become a Commissioner, a position he held until he died in December last year.
