Sulemana Ali and Amidu Adams, two Fulani herdsmen who inflicted cutlass wounds on their colleagues at Afienya have been granted 10,000 Ghana cedis bail with one surety each by the Tema Circuit Court ‘A’.
Ali and Adams who pleaded not guilty to two counts of conspiracy to cause harm and causing harm would re-appear on February 07, this year.
Prosecution told the court, presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu that the two accused persons attended a Muslim feast at Atusuare Junction on the night of December 20, 2007 during which a misunderstanding ensued between the merry makers.
Police Inspector Adolphus Otchere, prosecuting said the two accused persons together with six other people attacked some of their colleagues at Afienya during the early hours of December 21, where Adams slashed one Usmano Mohammed’s head with a cutlass.
Prosecution stated that Adams was arrested on the same day by the police, while Ali was traced to his residence at Afienya Ablekuma on December 23 where he also inflicted cutlass wounds on two witnesses before he was overpowered and sent to the police.
Prosecution added that Usmano Mohammed is still on admission at a hospital in Somanya.
