A 35-year-old man who defiled and impregnated his step-daughter at Mankranso in Ashanti Region, has been slapped with a 20-year-jail term in hard labour by the Tepa Circuit Court. Abubakar Sadiq pleaded guilty to a charge of defilement and sought to suggest to the court, he had mistaken the victim for his wife. The victim who paralysed after giving birth, is struggling to survive a harsh rural environment, with little to eat. There is more in the attached report:
