Africa Education Watch (EduWatch) is cautioning the Education Ministry against acting in haste in implementing the new curriculum at the Junior High School (JHS) level.
The education policy think tank says the Ministry must ensure the provision of crucial resources, particularly in rural schools, to ensure a successful implementation.
“...the successful implementation of the curriculum hinges on the adoption of efficient processes in the piloting and validation process, availability of adequate resources and a realistic timeline for eventual roll-out. The approved basic curriculum for KG One to Primary Six was implemented at the start of the 2019-2020 academic year last September.
