Prophet Yeboah Afari, head pastor of Nyame Tease Prayer Center at Deasempah in Techiman Municipality of the Brong-Ahafo Region, cautioned Ghanaians to eschew back-biting, hatred and envy, which according to him was undermining the country’s progress.
He urged Ghanaians, especially Christians to pray ceaselessly for love, peace, unity and stability towards national development.
Prophet Afari was opening a five-day national workers prayer conference and seminar at Nyame Tease Prayer Center at Deasempah in Techiman Municipality in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
The event that was attended by about 700 participants from Burkina Faso, La Cote D’Ivoire, Togo and Nigeria and Italy, was under the theme “For you will break the yoke of their slavery”.
It was jointly organized by the Centre and the Nyametease Intercessory Ministry in Italy.
Prophet Afari expressed the hope that by the end of the programme, participants would be capable of eliminating “the yoke of slavery.”
Prophet Issah Richie, head pastor of the Italian Ministry, said if Ghanaians would admit their shortcomings and turn to the Lord the “yoke of slavery” would be removed.
He said the year 2008 had hope for Ghanaians who would listen to the voice of the Lord.
