Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has wished the Black Stars well ahead of Wednesday’s international friendly against Montenegro.
Dauda, who plays for South African side Orlando Pirates, has been dropped for the game in Podgorica following lack of first team action at his club side.
The 28-year-old is seen as the country’s number one shot-stopper ahead of the global piece and he has wished his colleagues well ahead of the much needed exercise.
“I want to wish my colleagues well. I have just been left out of this game but my spirit is with them,” he said
“It’s an important exercise for us as we prepare for the World Cup.
“The scoreline may not be that important but we must try to win and keep the winning mentality.
“I know they will deliver for us. I wish the coach, technical team, my colleagues and all Ghanaians very well.”
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will use the friendly exercise to size up his squad ahead of the tournament in Brazil in June.
