Some residents in the Anlo Constituency of the Volta Region are agitated over the removal of their MP Clemence K Humado from the office .
The residents say they are surprised by the decision of the president to remove their MP from office.
Not even the appointment of Fifi Kwetey as Agric minister consoles them.
Kwetey is also from the same region.
The residents described the president's decision to replace Mr Humado as shameful.
This comes as a surprise to us all and we still don't believe.
"The minister who happens to be the only minister from this area serving in the government being removed? This has come as a shock to us.
"We strongly oppose to this. He must be reinstated. Simple and short," one of the angry residents told Joy News' Volta Region correspondent Ivy Setordzie.
"I am in total shock. I respect the president's rights to hire and fire all right. But certain things when you listen to the way he is playing the game, you wonder if he is on top of his game.
"We people of Anlo vote all the time and we expect to be respected, not removing people that come from this area.
"The president was here and made many promises which he didn't fulfil. He just remove somebody we all trust that though him something beneficial will come to all of us.
"We are not happy about that." Another of the resident said.
