Managing Editor for the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson Jr. has denied rumours suggesting he has suffered a stroke.
Social media platforms were at the weekend awashed with rumours that the veteran journalist had suffered a stroke and was on admission at Accra-based Nyaho Clinic.
But speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Monday, Mr. Ephson discounted the rumour claiming that some known persons with leanings to the opposition New Patriotic Party, were behind the malicious rumour.
He later told Myjoyonline.com that the crusade was started by Samuel Bryan Buabeng aide to former NPP Chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and one Princess Agyeiwaa Kodie who posted on their foacebook handles that he, Mr. Ephson had been hit by a stroke.
The post on Samuel Bryan Buabeng's facebook wall read: "Let's all remember Ben Ephon (Chief Editor of the Dispatch Newspaper- a paper that analyses NPP issues daily with special interest on the mythical Akyem/Asante war) in prayers today. I pray that Ben Ephson will soon rise up from his 'stroke' bed. I wish him a speedy recovery".
But Mr. Ephson in a telephone interview told Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of the 'Kokrokoo' programme that he was home and doing "very well".
Asked if he was going to take action against the two, the pollster said he had forgiven them and hoped God does same.
