The New York and New Jersey branch of the Convention People´s Party (CPP) is calling on the executive of the party to commence immediate dismissal proceedings against the CPP MP for Embelle- Hon Freddie Blay.
According to the General Secretary of CPP-ULTRA, Prof. Ama Adumea Ohene, Hon. Freddie Blay's guilt has gone unchecked and unpunished by the CPP Executives and the CPP Flag-bearer.
Prof. Adumea Ohene who once contested the flag-bearership slot of the CPP in 1996, told ASEMPA NEWS that the silence of the current executives gives credence to the theory of conspiracy to bring and expose the CPP to ridicule.
She said Hon. Blay has abused and betrayed the trust of the high office of Member of Parliament, by publicly pledging his support for the NPP Flag-bearer and the NPP, while he represents his constituency on the ticket of the CPP.
She said the CPP-ULTRA has been formed to bring about a PURGE within the CPP and to bring about the much needed reinstatement of the TRUE CPP as envisaged and instituted by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the illustrious first President of the First Republic of Ghana.
According to Prof. Adumea Ohene, the CPP-ULTRA will among other things, work to put an immediate halt to the deterioration and adulteration of the original CPP, its tenets, its goals and aspirations for the people of Ghana. "It will work for the restoration of the dignity of Ghanaians and defend Ghana from the corrupt and fraudulent government of the NPP, and any others who might assume power in order to exploit the mineral and oil resources of Ghana without adopting strategies to positively impact the lives of Ghanaians".
The CPP-ULTRA is expected to formally announce its existence, goals and aspirations at three press conferences in Accra, London and New York by close of next week.
Meanwhile the CPP leadership has declined to subject Hon. Freddie Blay in the pursuit of party unity.
Party officials were initially inclined to consider punitive measures against him, however they said party unity was more paramount now than taking any actions that would divide the party.
