The Convention People’s Party (CPP) is assuring its members across the country that its campaign to win the 2008 elections is on course and that Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, flag-bearer, is on his way to delivering the victory he promised at the Party’s last congress.
“Any party or non party member who suggests that the Party cannot win must not just be ignored but treated with contempt for belittling the efforts of hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians who have decided to join the CPP in all the 230 constituencies across this country. Many of these people who claim that the CPP cannot win, have no idea of what is going on in the party, which is why they continue to insult the intelligence of many Ghanaians who have decided that the CPP is where the action is, this year.”
The CPP in a statement said after traveling the length and breadth of the country, the party was pleased to observe how well the message of ‘Edwumawura” has gone down.
“Many young men and women who are our parliamentary candidates are working to win. Paa Kwesi Nduom has crisscrossed the country several times to make sure that people are encouraged and to assure them that their efforts will not be in vain.
“We urge all members and supporters to stay on course and support their Parliamentary Candidates and Presidential Candidate as you have already done in Chereponi, Builsa North, Upper Denkyira East and in Twifo Ati Morkwa, to name a few. We urge you not to listen to people who don’t mean well for the Party. Those who want to join the NPP are free to do so. Those who want to join the NDC are free to do so. Those who want the CPP to remain an independent CPP should gird their loans and continue with the task at hand – winning the 2008 elections,” the statement said.
