The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has called on the leaders of the two major political parties to advise their supporters to desist from acts of violence
The party say that will go a long way to maintain peace, and uphold the image of the country as a peace loving nation.
A statement from the campaign committee of the party condemned the recent acts of violence in Tamale between supporters of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party that resulted in deaths and loss of properties.
The statement further called on electorates to vote massively for the CPP in the upcoming General elections since it is the only party that can maintain peace in the country.
“CPP the party that won independence for Ghana promises not to be the one that destroys what we have worked hard to establish in this part of the world,” the statement added.
