On October 3 Banku and the Beast will face off in an intriguing battle of mettle at the Accra Sports stadium.
But just before that bout, the two boxers and a third, Powers, who is also on the bill, turned the studios of Joy FM into an arena of comedy with the men swapping wits with ready jokes. It was not all jokes, though.
Host of Joy Sports Link Nathaniel Attoh, potentially the ring announcer for the October 3 bout, seamlessly steered the two hour show to perfection as tension heightened at some point with the two men issuing 'death warrants'- Banku as usual being the loudest.
He vowed to down and 'kill' George Napari, the beast , a fearless soldier in Ghana's army.
He taunted Napari and called him the baby soldier, mocked and praised Powers at some point in the programme and dared Napari to agree to a winner take all bout if he is man enough.

Napari, the beast, is a man, he said, a fearless soldier, he touted and was not fighting for money, he claimed.
The only thing on his mind is to silence a braggart.
Powers was in there playing the middle man, with his wife spicing things up with a feminine voice and giving the whole programme an emotional touch.
