The annual health walk dubbed Corporate Run, which is in its fifth year, is set to take off this Saturday 20th September, 2014 at 6am at the Silver Star tower.
The run, is an initiative to bring corporate Ghana together to network in a healthy fashion while raising money for a healthy cause, as proceeds from the event are donated to the Ghana Blind Union.
Over 400 people from the business community are expected to participate in this year’s event.
Last year, the award for the fastest male went to Mr. Paul Amaglo from Ghana Police Service while Mr. Edward Boateng, CEO of Global Media Alliance, came third in the fastest CEO category.
“The fact that this is the fifth corporate run is a testament to its success. Not only is this for a good cause but it is also a great opportunity for those in the corporate world to meet, mingle and share ideas,” said General Manager of e.TV Ghana, Mr. Ernest Arday.
Mr. Arday said the ever increasing demands at work meant that exercise was becoming harder to fit in, and the run was therefore a good way to bring fitness to the forefront of people’s minds, help them keep fit and relieve stress and enable them to better perform their job roles.
