Ghana needs a draw against Togo on Wednesday to seal qualification to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
The Black Stars suffered a painful 1-0 defeat on Saturday to Uganda but Guinea’s 4-1 win against Togo in Lome has thrown the Group wide open.
Maxwell Konadu’s side top pool with 8 points; one more than Uganda and Guinea and two more than the Hawks.
Ghana will touch down in Accra on Sunday and will move to Tamale, the venue for the match, the next day.
The four-time continental champions are seeking 20th appearance in the Nations Cup finals which will be hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
Meanwhie, captain Asamoah Gyan is in line to make a shock return from injury in time to play a part in Wednesday’s crucial 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo in Tamale.
The Al Ain hit man, excluded from caretaker coach Maxwell Konadu’s 23-man squad due to injury, was on the bench as the Black Stars crashed to a 1-0 defeat to Uganda on Saturday afternoon.
Gyan has been sidelined for the past three weeks with a thigh injury but has been involved in full-scale training.
In Kampala, he was involved in low runs and Konadu refused to rule him out of playing a part in the match but was unused at the Mandela Stadium in Kampala.
