The habit of some rail passengers to hang on coaches of moving trains to avoid payment is a familiar sight.
As more passengers who travel on the Accra-Nsawam shuttle choose to sit on the locomotive, hanging or standing on the doorways of moving trains the possibility of these passengers falling off becomes high.
For many years passengers who hang dangerously on the coaches of the moving train have failed to heed the warnings issued by the Ghana Railways Development Company.
Maybe it is time to use police enforcement to arrest them before tragedy hits the news headlines.

If you are a journalist don't get too close to take a shot because they will throw objects at you.
The danger with rail transport in Accra is not limited to the 'passengers' hanging on the coaches as residents living along the rail lines walk on the rails even when a train is approaching.
