Right Reverend Fredrick Nnuro, Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Methodist Church, has called on leaders in the country to be alive to their work in order not to disappoint the people who had entrusted them with responsibilities.
He said God would appreciation the good work of leaders if the people failed to do so.
Rt. Rev. Nnuro was delivering the sermon at a thanksgiving service to mark the 30th Annual Synod of the Diocese at Adweso Calvary Methodist Church on Sunday.
He advised people holding political positions, the rich and educated not to put their faith in their authority because that could fail them but to put to trust in God who will guarantee them real peace and progress.
Rt. Rev. Nnuro said that the Synod had asked the Church to raise resources to support its activities and create employment for the youth in the Diocese.
He said the Synod has decided to implement a joint venture in piggery at Maame Krobo in the Afram plains and to construct a hostel in the Koforidua municipality for renting.
Bishop Nnuro said the Lay Movement of the Diocese has decided to rehabilitate the Nana Wiafe Vocational Institute at Mpreaso, belonging to the Church.
He said in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Diocese, the Synod decided to establish 30 new Churches.
