British Airways is offering special discounts on its flights to celebrate the New Year, and says this is just a taste of things to come in 2015.

The airline has announced fares starting from as low as $1,000 from Accra to London, and $1,491 to New York, via the award-winning London Heathrow Terminal 5 airport.

Both fares include taxes and other charges, and the airline is also offering special discounts to other worldwide destinations.

“Our passengers choose us because we offer good value,” says Moran Birger, British Airways’ Commercial Manager for Ghana.

“We thought, ‘what better way would there be to start the year than to demonstrate this,’especially coming so closely after a holiday of even greater giving”' he adds.

British Airways is the only airline offering a First class service to Ghana and with benefits such as the comfort of a personal onboard suite, traditional afternoon tea, formal dining on white linen with fine bone china, mood lighting in the cabin, and access to the exquisite Concorde Room airport lounge, the service is popular among passengers.

Birger says the airline aims to build on 2014 this year: “Even though Ghana has experienced some difficulties in the past couple of years as a nation, the prospects are still very high, particularly in the area of small and medium business. One of the things we are looking forward to doing this year is to strengthen our relationships in these sectors.”

The special fares are on sale from February 6 for travel up until 30 March 2015.
