Ghanaian-owned international beverage company, Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL) officially launched its new alcoholic drink called the Alomo Silver Bitters in Kumasi over the weekend.
At a short colourful ceremony held on January 16, 2015, the new Alomo Silver was unveiled by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.
The Alomo Silver Bitters brand is a blend of carefully selected tropical plant extracts based on a secret family recipe, scientifically processed to ensure your body receives the herbs the way nature intended.
Otumfuo said the introduction of Alomo Silver Bitters by Kasapreko is an indication that the company is committed to innovation and keeping up with trends, with a critical understanding of the dynamics of the local market.
“I have a strong conviction that this Alomo Silver Bitters will make strides in the beverage industry not only in Ghana but globally and I am glad to endorse it just like I did for the classic Alomo Bitters about 12 years ago,” the Asantehene said.
The Group Chairman and Founder of KCL Dr Kwabena Adjei said the Alomo Silver which is less bitter with a minty taste contains herbs that have been used since ancient times for maintaining good health.
Dr Adjei added that the drink is better enjoyed straight ‘on the rock’ or with one’s favourite mixer.
Kasapreko is the first of local manufacturers to establish a modern quality control and product development laboratory and first to introduce their own proprietary bespoke bottles and caps.
With over 20 years of experience and credibility in the beverage industry, Kasapreko operates all over Africa in Togo, Cote-D’Ivoire and South Africa, with a large consumer base in Nigeria and distribution network in Europe and the Americas.
The 2013 CIMG Manufacturing Company of the Year currently has 15 brands, with Alomo Bitters being the company’s flagship brand. In December 2014, Alomo Bitters was also conferred the Tourism Drink of The Year by the Ghana Tourism Authority.
