Producer of Asempa FM's political talk show, Ekosii Sen has denied allegations that NDC stalwart, Alhaji Bature assaulted NPP's Omare Wardie.Kojo Poku Danquah, the Producer, told Myjoyonline on Wednesday, he is surprised at media reports of what happened in the studio yesterday.Alhaji Bature in a report filed by the Daily Guide Newspaper was said to have turned the studios of Asempa FM into a boxing arena when he allegedly pounced on a studio guest and gave him severe beatings. The paper quoted the alleged victim of the assault, Mr. Omare Wardie, the Ayawaso Constituency Chairman of the NPP as confirming the assault. But Kojo Poku Danquah said “nothing serious” happened. He insisted there was no exchange of blows as reported by the Daily Guide. He explained Alhaji Bature only held the shoulders of Mr. Wardie demanding that he gives him way to walk out of the studio. He said Mr. Wardie shrugged-off the hands of Alhaji Bature and the latter made his way out.Alhaji Bature had allegedly called him a “mad man” in apparent anger over persistent interjections by Mr. Wadie in a studio discussion on the takeover of ex-president Kufuor's Ridge Office by national security. The host of the programme demanded a retraction from Bature, but he refused and rather opted to walk-out of the studio.Story by Nathan Gadugah/Myjoyonline
