PZ Cussons Ghana has donated personal care products worth ¢30,000 to the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) in support of the fight against Covid-19 in Ghana.
Products donated included hand Sanitisers, antiseptic liquid and antibacterial Bar soap.
Hafsa Arthur, the Head of Brand Development and Activations at PZ Cussons who led the delegation said, “Although the company has currently run out of stock especially with the hand sanitizers, the donated items were products we have set aside for public education.
"But due to the seriousness of the situation with price hikes, management considered it prudent donating them to one of their key partners such as the GMA."
She said PZ Cussons recognises the importance and safety of frontline medical staff doing their best in the management of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“We believe our first point of call should be to protect them especially those who find themselves in areas where they find it difficult to access these products," Arthur said.
She further stated that they have run out of stock of Carex hand sanitizers and appealed to retailers with the product to sell at the recommended retail price.
"These are difficult times and certainly not the time for price hikes," she stated.
The executive members of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) who received the donation expressed gratitude to PZ Cussons for their numerous donations made in the national interest.
