Upper West Regional Minister, Hafiz Bin Salih

The Upper West Minister is worried over the spate of smuggling of government subsidised fertilizer for Planting for Food and Jobs programme to neighbouring Burkina Faso.
Dr Hafiz Bin Salih said with the closure of the countries borders coupled with the increased presence of the police and military personnel in the Sissala East and West municipality and district, he expected the practice to be nibbed in the bud.
Addressing agric input dealers in the Region, Dr Bin Salih stated he would not hesitate to recommend the revocation of the license of any supplier who is involved in the act.
