Renowned journalist and pollster Ben Ephson is responding well to treatment after contracting the novel coronavirus.
Mr Ephson is currently under observation at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra.
JoyNews sources indicate that the pollster is feeling well and following medications administered by health officials at the facility.
“When I spoke to him he said he is taking his medications. He is strong and he doesn’t feel too sick and the medics are taking care of him,” the source said.
“So it’s not like a very critical situation even though he has underlying conditions.”
The pollster, according to the source, “is very upbeat and in high spirit” and looking forward to a speedy recovery.
Ghana has 19,388 cases of Covid-19 with 758 new confirmed cases as of July 3, 2020.
Meanwhile, 14,330 persons have recorded so far.
