Veteran actress and politician Dzifa Gomashie has tasked celebrities to be wary of what they put out on social media.
She urged celebrities to be considerate of the fact that their actions today have future repercussions and therefore need to exercise caution in their posts.
“We all should be remember that we are each telling our story. Whatever we churn out will be what will read be about you someday, so if you have pride in what you are giving us, hallelujah,
I have people who tell me ‘Who are you tell me how to dress?’, ‘Who are you to tell me how to sit?’, Who are you tell me how to speak?’. Well considering that we are not islands and we live within a society and it tells what we should do and what we cannot do, we should be minded by that,” she pointed out in an interview on Showbiz A to Z.
She added that the core of life as a celebrity is hinged on one’s image therefore the need to be mindful of future consequences.
“Perhaps, today is a wake up call for you, if the image you are putting out there is getting you money today and that is all there is to it you need, that is okay but don’t forget the consequences one day,” she advised.
