Award-winning rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has explained why he opted for Ceek.com as the streaming platform for his just ended Black Love Concert.
According to the BET award winner, he loved the foresight and ingenuity of the platform especially as it was a Virtual Reality platform specifically designed for live concerts and that it was the "perfect for the idea" for what he wanted to do with his concert.
“It was a platform that I chanced on and I thought it was interesting because they are into the virtual reality and it’s like they had an idea that Covid was going to come.
It’s like they had the tip-off that things were going to be like this and people will have to go virtual. So these guys were ten steps ahead of time,” he stated in an interview on Showbiz A to Z August 15, 2020.
Finding out that the platform was owned by a Ghanaian lady sealed the deal for him, plus it has been used by big acts like Ziggy Marley and Rick Ross among several other notable stars in the US.
“It’s the big platform basically made for just virtual reality contents so there is a whole lot you can do there so it was perfect for the idea that I had for a virtual concert than the usual Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram," he added.
