A Chinese miner has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers at Sefwi Proso in the Western North Region.
According to Adom News’ Augustine Boah, the Chinese miner was being transported to the Sefwi Proso government hospital because he had complained of ill health.
But was attacked by suspected armed robbers along the way and abscond.
The Chinese was pronounced dead at Proso government hospital after he sustained multiple gunshot.
Meanwhile, a Security Expert, Prosper Addo has revealed that there are two million small arms circulating in the country and is warning this poses a recipe for disaster as the December polls approach.
He then urged that government and relevant stakeholders to prioritise and review the National Security Policy to help curb the high rate of gun incidents.
“Local arms manufacturers are still there producing guns and still doing their trade which is illegal.”
