The spokesperson on finance for the opposition National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) 2020 manifesto, says under the NDC, Ghanaians will not be made to bear the cost of all the free initiatives included in their manifesto through taxes.
Fifi Kwetey said among other measures, the party when voted into power, will look at devoting oil resources to ensuring that the country’s most pressing needs are met.
Speaking to Joy News, Mr Kwetey said, "We already have opportunities to levy for facilities without necessarily burdening the citizens".
The Ketu South MP also opined that the NDC’s past performance is a model for their new objective for the nation and that the efficiency of a Mahama-led administration cannot be questioned.
He maintained that during their tenure in office, the NDC delivered more promises than the current party in power with relatively little resources.
“We have a track record of being able to deliver a lot with even relatively smaller resources,” he stated.
