The Deputy National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said that New Patriotic Party (NPP) should fight fair and square if they want to beat the NDC as they "will not accept electoral fraud results”.
Saeed Sinare, who is the former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia said the NDC will employ a large number of observers to closely monitor the election on December 7, to ensure the party's victory.
He spoke to JoyNews at the installation of Zongo Chief for Atimatim Maase in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
Alhaji Sinari advised party faithful to be extra vigilant on election day.
“If you let a thief enter into your house definitely the thief will steal. So I am telling my people, we must be vigilant on the D-day.”
He said elections are won on the election day and therefore the party will not allow only the polling station agents to man the election.
“We are going to have observers who will be there to police the ballot by 40 or 50 feet away to make sure we get the results that we want at the end of the day,” he revealed.
He reiterated the party's call for a free and fair election adding that the party’s leadership will not accept any electoral fraud results.
“Never are we going to accept a result that is fraud. We want free and fair election. If you want to beat the NDC, then beat us well.”
Alhaji Sinari also advised Zongo youths to be careful and not to get involved in violent acts.
Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, William Owuraku Aidoo reemphasied the need for Zongo youths to help sustain the existing peace in the country.
The newly installed for Atimatim Maase Zongo called for unity amongst his people.
