Running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, says the party’s campaign is devoid of insults and intimidation.
She said trading derogatory words during campaign corrupts the mind of the youth.
“What’s most important is the reason for which any party will engage in a political race.
"The best thing is to show proof of work done during tenure in office, then we can move unto policies we seek to implement when voted again into power,” she noted.
Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang was speaking at the Breman Palace in Kumasi on Friday, as she continues her six-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region.
In her interaction with the chiefs and people of the town, she said the economy will not evolve without better policies.
"No country grows without development, not even first world countries. And that is why I call on the people of Breman to vote in favour of the NDC because our records in terms of development speak for themselves" she added.
She sought the blessing and guidance of the Breman chief and urged the people to vote massively for the party during the December 7, election polls.
By the end of the tour, Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang is expected to visit 20 constituencies across the region, where she will present concrete solutions to their challenges as articulated in the NDC People’s Manifesto.
