The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has cast his vote in the Bole constituency of the Savannah Region.
Addressing his constituents after voting, Mahama acknowledged the general voting process is being run smoothly, however, it is not without hiccups.
“There was no queue and that is usual of this constituency. I have voted here since 1992. I have voted presidential and parliamentary for under three minutes. It is too early to make an assessment but there are a few hitches.”

The former President reported that he registered at the same centre with a team member of his security personnel. However, the gentleman could not found on the electoral roll.
“I registered with one of my security personnel, but he cannot find his name. We will see the presiding officer to check this anomaly.”
Mr Mahama urged Ghanaians to make sure they cast their ballot and ensure that the process is peaceful.

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party and incumbent president, Nana Akuffo-Addo has also cast his vote in the Abuakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region.
John Mahama lost to Nana Akuffo-Addo in the 2016 general elections by close to a million vote margin.
In the National Democratic Congress party’s manifesto, the former president promised to create over million jobs to curb wide unemployment in the country, should he be voted into power in the 2020 general elections.
