Junior High school teachers drawn from some three regions of the north for the Common Core Programme (CCP) workshop have abandoned classes over what they described as poor training conditions.
The teachers who are supposed to be trained to enable them to train other teachers when they return to their various districts say arrangements for accommodation and feeding among others were poorly organised.

Speaking to JoyNews, the irate teachers accused organisers of providing them accommodation at a GetFund hostel which was unkept.

They added that the meals provided were also terrible while their transportation fee was GHC200 regardless of one's destination.

They say it is against this backdrop that they are refusing to sit in for the training.
