The Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has urged his teammates to eschew pettiness and be more understanding of each other as they work towards achieving their goal for the Ministry.
Speaking to his teammates on his first day in office as the Education Minister, Dr Adutwum said: “We’re human beings, there will be pettiness and even among you, somebody will say something but at the end of the day what you should understand is that the vision is bigger and greater than everybody.”
He added that the team's main focus should be centered on transforming the Education Ministry and education in Ghana.
“As it stands now, we are to do more, to really move things up to a scale where it will be irreversible and the transformation of this country will be a reality for all of us.”
The Education Minister thanked his team for honouring his invite on such short notice and further expressed his excitement to work with them.
"Thank you for coming at a short notice and I'm so excited of course. First day on the job is different so much excitement the challenges are going to come but I hope I can count on every one of you when the challenges comes," he stated.
Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum is among the 28 ministers sworn in by Akufo-Addo after they were vetted and approved by Parliament.
