Former President John Mahama has donated ¢10,000 to the family of the 10-year-old Ishmael Mensah Abdallah who was gruesomely murdered by two teenagers for money rituals in Kasoa.
The consolation was made by Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the 2020 National Democratic Congress (NDC), flagbearer John Mahama on Tuesday.

“On behalf of former President John Mahama and the NDC, we made a token donation of ¢10,000 to the family,” she said.
During her visit together with a group of NDC leaders to commiserate with the family of the deceased, she indicated that the heinous crime committed by the teenagers calls for a speedy investigation.
"Even as a mother and grandmother, I do not pretend to fully comprehend what my fellow mother is going through at this moment save to offer prayers and words of sincere sympathy," the former Education Minister.
The unfortunate incident, she demanded a "national soul-searching of the country.“

The first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) further prayed for the family.
"May Allah grant solace and strength to the bereaved family particularly in this holy month of Ramadan,” she added.
Prior to this, the opposition party also made a clarion call on government to speed up investigations and crank the wheels of justice so that the country can rid itself of the odious reminder of this unfortunate event.
