Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Ministry has condemned the Christ Embassy Church-Ghana for breaching all the Covid-19 safety protocols at an event that drew a huge crowd in an enclosed area.
The church on Friday, April 30, 2021, organised an event dubbed Pneumatica Night 2021 at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre.
Photos and videos from the night showed people worshipping without face masks and the seating arrangement in total disregard of the state-directed social distancing protocols.

Thus, in a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry asked the law enforcement agencies to hold leaders of the aforementioned church accountable.
According to the Ministry, the leaders “deliberately and consciously acted in disobedience to put at risk the lives of many citizens of the country.”
The statement further entreated all religious bodies to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 protocols.
“Seek assistance from the Ghana Police Service to enforce the adherence to the protocols at any religious event and cautions that any religious organization in breach of the Covid-19 protocols shall be dealt with appropriately according to the law,” the statement read.
