Construction of the Janga Senior High Technical school in the West Mamprusi Municipality began this month.
The project was halted nearly three years ago after a standoff between the paramount chief of the area and authorities at the municipal assembly.
The Ghana Gas sponsored project awarded in 2018 for the construction of a 12 unit classroom block for the newly established secondary school.
The delay has affected teaching and learning in the school as students are forced to study in uncompleted structures while teachers have no place to stay to teach.
The students have, however, over the weekend, heaved a sigh of relief, after a sod was finally cut for the project to begin following a resolution of the dispute by the Mamprugu overlord and the Vice-president.
