The Dodowa Magistrate’s Court has sentenced two foreign nationals to two years imprisonment each for possessing firearms without authority.The two, Mohamadu Adamu, 30, a Nigerien, and Ali Musah, 26, a Togolese, pleaded not guilty.They were additionally charged for defilement, armed robbery, indecent assault and murder.The accused are to appear again before court on June 24.Chief Inspector Joshua Darke, prosecuting, said the two accused persons went on rampage at Dodowa and Ayikuma with guns, robbing and raping their victims.He said they attacked a house at Ayikuma and robbed a middle aged woman of GH¢50 and raped three school children in the neighbourhood.Chief Inspector Darke said a victim who refused to open his door for them to enter was shot through the window. They also robbed another victim of GH¢450.The prosecutor said after persistent complaints from the public on the activities of the two, the police mounted a search and succeeded in arresting them at Mobole on the Dodowa-Afienya road on June 4.He said a pistol and live cartridges were found on them.Source: Times
