A motorbiker and his passenger are feared dead after two speeding articulator trucks drove over them on the Accra Mall-Achimota stretch of the N1 highway near Nogahill Hotel.
According to eyewitnesses, the culprits fled the crime scene without a trace.
The two travellers were believed to be heading towards the direction of the Achimota Forest when two speeding articulator trucks crashed them.
According to an eyewitness, upon sensing danger, the two managed to hide between an Uber car and one of the trucks.
Unfortunately, the other truck knocked the motorcycle down and drove over one of the passengers while the other fell in the way of the second truck and met the same fate.
“Both trucks have sped off, and the bodies of the persons feared dead are still on the streets with some palm fronds over them,” the eye witness said.
The eyewitness said there were no ambulances for some time after the accident; however, police quickly moved to the scene to direct the heavy traffic that the accident has caused.
