Euros On MGL: Scotland v Czech Republic betting preview

After a tough qualification road, Scotland booked their place via the playoffs. It is their first appearance in this showcase in 25 years. Steve Clarke’s men without doubt have the underdog tag and will be under minimum pressure to prove themselves.

It was a fairly different situation for Czech Republic who gained automatic qualification after placing second in Group A behind England. Jaroslav Šilhavý’s side easily handled the challenge posed by Kosovo, Bulgaria and Montenegro.

Czech Republic now have a bigger challenge to face, starting with Scotland. But, they will certainly be eager to make their seventh consecutive appearance a memorable one.

A draw expected

The two teams have some talented players in key areas and have shown in the qualifiers that they can find the net when needed. A draw is likely to happen.

Both teams have proved to be weak defensively. Czech Republic averaged 1.38 goals conceded in the qualifiers whilst Scotland averaged 1.9. This means that there is a high chance that both teams will score at least once in the game.

The odds

Czech Republic are slight favorites for this one with their odds priced at 2.74 by Betway. Their opponents have been priced at 2.82 and a draw is 2.93. On Ghana’s biggest betting platform, the chance of both teams scoring has been priced at 2.11.
