A Ghanaian citizen in Libya, Mr. Obolo Boateng, is reported to have been found guilty of murder by a Libyan court and has been sentenced to death.
Speaking on Peace FM’S morning show, “Kokrokoo”, Ghana’s Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Kwame Tinkorang confirmed the court’s judgment and explained that the judgment came after Mr. Boateng was alleged to have killed his friend in the cause of a fight.
The ambassador however has disclosed that the Ghanaian government will appeal to the Libyan court through their lawyers to re-visit the case.
