Assembly Members in the Lawra Municipality of the Upper West Region for the second time failed to confirm the President's Municipal Chief Executive nominee.
Mr Martin Domatieri secured 23 "Yes" votes and 18 "No" votes. Forty-one Assembly Members took part in the election.
The nominee, a week ago was rejected by the Assembly Members.

Voting, sorting and counting was peaceful but the narrative change when the Assembly Members were going out of the hall.
Supporters of the president’s nominee accused the Secretary of the New Patriotic Party for the Lawra constituency, Augustine Liabu of being the cause behind the rejection of the president’s nominee.
Mr Augustine Liabu who also doubles as an Assembly Member was quickly shielded and taken to his car by the Wa Mayor, Issahaku Tahiru Moomin.
The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih before the rejection of the nominee pleaded with the assembly members to vote to confirm him in order to speed up development in the municipality.
He revealed that the swearing-in of confirmed MMDCEs will take place in the region on Wednesday and it would not be the best if the Lawra MCE is missing at that ceremony.
Out of the 11 MMDCEs nominated by the President, eight have so far been confirmed.
The successful nominees are Raymond Nero, George Gerald, Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, Dr. Owurh Sulleyman and Katherine Lankono.
The rest are Fuseini Batong, Ayisha Batong Hor and Nadi Imoro Sanda.
Meanwhile, Ali Bukari who was nominated by the president for Wa West district has been rejected by the Assembly Members.
Also, nominee for Jirapa Municipality, Christine Bombanye-Amadu has been unable to secure two-third of the votes needed to be confirmed on two separate occasions.
