The Police have arrested five students of Konongo Odumasi Senior High School for allegedly stabbing a first-year to death.
The 17-year-old deceased student identified as Sam-una Larrham was a first gold track student.
Narrating the incident to JoyNews, a student said some Form Two students after preps on Friday had ganged up with the intention to bully their juniors.
However, the Form One students resisted the intimidating actions of their seniors.
Thus, amidst the scuffle, one Form Two student, identified as Emmanuel Frimpong, allegedly used a pair of scissors to stab Larrham creating a deep hole in his ribs.
He was reportedly arrested by the students after the crime and handed over to the police by the school authorities.
In an interview, the Headmaster of the School, Dr. Benjamin Kwaku Baah described the incident as unfortunate.
He further told Luv FM’s Erastus Asare Donkor that the management of the school will give its full corporation to the police to ensure that perpetrators of the act are brought to book.
“We have reported the case to our bosses and the police are also investigating the case. I want to assure the public that the school will give its maximum support in the investigation of the case so that justice is won,” he said.
