An Accra Circuit Court has adjourned the case of reggae/dancehall artiste Shatta Wale to December 7, 2021.
The court presided over by Emmanuel Essandoh also ordered the Prosecutor to release the phones of Shatta Wale and his accomplices when they were arrested in October.
Two weeks ago, Shatta Wale was granted a self-recognisance bail whilst the three others were bailed at the tune of ¢100,000 and two sureties each.
The self-acclaimed dancehall king, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah on Tuesday, October 19, turned himself in after the police had declared him wanted.
He had allegedly fabricated a story that he had been shot and receiving treatment, which turned out to be a hoax.
But when he appeared before the law court on October 21, he pleaded not guilty to the charge of publishing false news and causing fear and panic.
The ‘My Level’ singer, however, was remanded into prison custody for one week.
